ANSES allows caregivers to claim family allowances via Adenda 63

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) allows grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other caregivers to request a change in the ownership of family allowances through a procedure known as Adenda 63. This mechanism is designed for individuals who live with a minor and provide their daily care, ensuring the benefit is paid directly to the person responsible for the child's maintenance.

The process does not change the benefit itself but rather determines who is authorized to receive the funds based on the verified family situation. Eligible applicants include grandparents, aunts, uncles, adult siblings, and affective caregivers. In specific cases involving abandonment or violence, parents who are not the registered holders may also intervene with the help of child protection agencies.

To initiate the request, applicants must present documentation proving their identity and their relationship or caregiving status, including original and copies of the DNI for both the applicant and the minor.
