ANSES social benefit administration updates

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) in Argentina has introduced new administrative measures regarding the management and distribution of social benefits.

Under Resolution 508/2026, ANSES implemented an automated verification system for the Universal Child Allowance (AUH). This system uses data sharing between ANSES, the Ministry of Health, and the Secretariat of Education to validate health and educational requirements. For children aged four and under, full benefits are paid if requirements are automatically verified; otherwise, 20% is withheld. For children and adolescents aged five and older, 80% is paid monthly while the remaining 20% is held pending verification of health and education conditions.

Additionally, ANSES has established the Adenda 63 procedure, which allows caregivers such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, or adult siblings to request a change in the ownership of family allowances. This mechanism ensures that funds are directed to the individuals providing daily care and maintenance for a minor, provided they can present the necessary documentation to prove their identity and caregiving status.
