Antalya driver runs over man in street dispute, victim dies

On the evening of 6 July in the Hurma neighbourhood of Konyaaltı, Antalya, a verbal dispute erupted between two men, identified in reports as C. B. and M. G. The argument quickly escalated when C. B. attempted to open the car doors and struck the vehicle’s windows and mirrors. M. G. started the car and, after briefly reversing, drove it forward into C. B., trapping him between the car and an apartment entrance door. C. B. sustained severe injuries and was taken to hospital, where he later died despite intensive care. Police arrested M. G. and took him to the police station; he claimed he was trying to flee and that C. B. had attacked him. Security‑camera footage captured the entire sequence, showing the car’s reversal and the subsequent impact that pinned the victim.

The incident prompted an emergency response from health and law‑enforcement teams, and the case is now under investigation.
