Antalya Metropolitan Municipality provides irrigation pipe support to rural farmers

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has distributed 12,300 meters of irrigation pipes to rural neighborhoods to support agricultural development and water efficiency. The distribution targeted several districts, including Alanya, Serik, Elmalı, Gündoğmuş, and Konyaaltı.

Specific deliveries included 5,900 meters of piping to the Sapadere, Bademağacı, Yaylakonak, and Bıçakçı neighborhoods in Alanya, as well as Hasdümen in Serik and Çağlarca in Konyaaltı. An additional 6,400 meters were sent to Öteköy, Taşbaşı, Bayır, and Değirmendere in Alanya, Çaltı in Gündoğmuş, and Gümüşyaka in Elmalı.

Sertaç Gökhan, Head of the Agricultural Services Department, stated that the municipality is working across 19 districts from Kaş to Gazipaşa to strengthen agricultural infrastructure. The municipality plans to provide a total of 100,000 meters of irrigation pipe support by 2026 to prevent inefficient wild irrigation and improve water usage in rural areas.
