Antalya to Host International Space Congress, Tourism Fair and COP31 This Autumn

Antalya's city council tourism working group chief Recep Yavuz announced that the Turkish resort will host three globally‑significant events from 5 October to 20 November. The schedule includes the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) on 5‑9 October, the Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF) on 26‑28 October, and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) from 9‑20 November.

Yavuz said the gatherings will bring together scientists, engineers, investors, government leaders and media from around the world, turning Antalya from a typical all‑inclusive holiday destination into a hub for science, technology, tourism and global diplomacy. The IAC will feature space agencies such as NASA, ESA, JAXA and ISRO alongside aerospace companies like SpaceX, Boeing, Airbus and Blue Origin. ATF is expected to attract over 40 000 visitors from more than 100 nations, while COP31 is projected to host representatives of roughly 200 countries and over 80 000 participants. Together, the three events could see up to 150 000 attendees.

The city aims to showcase its capability to host major international conferences and to influence future climate, technology and tourism policies.
