Antalya tourism season hits 6.5 million foreign visitors, Ukraine market rebounds

Antalya's 2024 tourism season has exceeded 6.5 million foreign visitors as of 20 July, according to the Professional Hotel Managers Association. Hotel occupancy rates are reported at roughly 90 % and many properties are approaching full capacity.

Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom remain the top source markets, followed by Poland, the Netherlands and Ukraine. Among the ten leading markets, Ukrainian tourists are the only segment that recorded growth, reaching about 152 000 arrivals in the first half of the year after a prior decline.

Local officials note that Antalya hosted 17 million tourists overall last year and see potential to expand capacity toward 20 million in the medium term, while ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to influence tourist origins.
