Antalya traffic crashes injure pedestrian and spark police response

In Gazipaşa's Pazarcı neighbourhood, a vehicle with licence plate 06 JL 842 lost steering control shortly after 02:30 and careened into a trash container and a streetlight. The impact damaged the lamp post, rendered the container unusable and caused motor oil to spill onto the road. The driver abandoned the car, prompting police and municipal crews to secure the scene and tow the vehicle.

On the D‑400 highway near Manavgat, a German‑registered driver entered the emergency lane and struck 16‑year‑old Elif K. as she crossed the road. She was taken to Manavgat State Hospital, where she was reported to be out of life‑threatening danger. Police opened administrative and criminal proceedings against the driver for the illegal lane violation.
