Antalya warehouse fire destroys five buildings and damages a home

A major fire broke out in the Yenigöl neighborhood of the Muratpaşa district in Antalya, destroying five warehouses and partially damaging a nearby house. The blaze reportedly began in an area containing waste materials and quickly spread to adjacent structures containing insulation, wood, cleaning supplies, and plastic packaging.

Local business owners reported significant financial losses, noting that the warehouses contained products for shopping malls, hotels, and insulation materials. While the fire caused millions of liras in damage and sent thick smoke across much of the city, no fatalities or injuries were reported.

Ten firefighting teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department worked for approximately two hours to bring the flames under control. Witnesses reported hearing explosions and shouting as the fire intensified. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
