Antapaccay maintains ISO environmental and safety certifications

Compañía Minera Antapaccay has successfully maintained its ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 international certifications following an external audit conducted by LRQA. The certification, which was renewed in 2025, remains valid until 2028 and includes annual follow-up audits.

The hybrid audit evaluated 16 company processes, focusing on environmental management systems as well as occupational health and safety. Auditors highlighted the visible leadership of the General Management and active worker participation in safety and environmental management.

Specific strengths noted during the evaluation included the ‘Comunicándonos’ program—an initiative involving quarterly meetings and decentralized sessions to maintain direct communication with employees—and the company’s Internal Environmental Monitoring Network, which demonstrated effective response capabilities to environmental alerts.

Karim Batallanos, General Manager of Antapaccay, stated that the results reflect the company’s commitment to strengthening processes through prevention, compliance, and continuous improvement.
