Antapaccay mining operations in Peru

Overview

Antapaccay, a mining complex in Peru’s Espinar province, has reaffirmed its operational and social commitments. The company intends to maintain annual copper production at approximately 130,000 metric tons by utilizing technological innovations such as autonomous drills and automated process controls to offset declining ore grades.

Alongside production, the company’s Economic Development Program (PDE) has focused on supporting local agriculture through technical assistance for animal health and pasture production.

In terms of regulatory compliance, Antapaccay has successfully maintained its ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 international certifications for environmental management and occupational health and safety. Following an external audit, these certifications remain valid until 2028. The audit highlighted the company’s internal environmental monitoring and employee communication programs as key strengths in maintaining safety and compliance standards.
