Anthí Voulgári clarifies clinic visit comments during health debate
During a broadcast of ‘Koinonia Ora Mega’, journalist Anthí Voulgári clarified her previous comments regarding private medical facilities in Greece. The discussion, which included Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, originally centered on the investigation into the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, who reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest during a procedure at a private clinic in Kolonaki.
Voulgári clarified that her mention of having visited a clinic did not refer to the facility in Kolonaki involved in the investigation. Instead, she was referring to a different clinic in the southern suburbs that had been inaugurated by the Health Minister. She noted that during a past visit to that specific facility, she was offered intravenous vitamin therapy, which led her to question the Minister about whether such treatments adhere to strict medical protocols and safety standards.
Minister Georgiadis responded by stating that the southern suburbs clinic has been inspected and expressed confidence in the professionals working there, describing the unit as serious and well-regulated.
