Anthony Fauci Faces PETA Satire and Senate Subpoena Over COVID Response
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) released a satirical portrait of Dr. Anthony Fauci, accusing him of overseeing animal experiments and describing his work as wasteful. The group said the image was a “fitting” tribute to the White House chief medical advisor and NIAID director.
Separately, the U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee issued a subpoena to Dr. Fauci, seeking daily logs he kept while leading the federal COVID‑19 response. The committee noted that many pages of the logs remain missing, and highlighted discrepancies between the private notes and Fauci’s public statements on pandemic measures such as social distancing.
Both pieces reflect ongoing criticism of Fauci’s handling of the pandemic and his role in public health policy.
