Anthony Rizzo provides MLB playoff analysis and supports White Sox

Former Major League Baseball player Anthony Rizzo has transitioned into a broadcasting role, serving as an “Inside the Pitch” analyst for NBC Sports. During the American League Wild Card Series, Rizzo provided commentary as the New York Yankees swept the Boston Red Sox to advance to the ALDS against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Rizzo noted the intense atmosphere at Yankee Stadium, describing how the passionate crowd can either energize or “suffocate” a home team. Regarding the upcoming series against Tampa Bay, he suggested that the Yankees' success will depend on their ability to contain key players such as Díaz, Aranda, and Caminero Jr. through timely hitting.

In addition to his work with the Yankees' broadcast, Rizzo expressed his support for the Chicago White Sox. Following the elimination of the Cubs by the San Diego Padres, Rizzo announced he will attend Game 3 of the White Sox's ALDS against the Cleveland Guardians in Chicago, noting that the White Sox team is “an easy team to root for.”
