Anthrax releases new single and video “The Edge Of Perfection”

American thrash metal band Anthrax issued their second single, “The Edge Of Perfection,” from the upcoming 12th studio album Cursum Perficio, slated for release on September 18 via Nuclear Blast and Megaforce Records. The track mixes atmospheric opening passages with heavy riffs before building to a full‑blown Anthrax assault, and its lyrics feature Joey Belladonna’s line, “My heart breaks… I’m on the edge of perfection.”

The accompanying music video was directed by Academy‑Award‑winning artist Joel Harlow and blends live‑performance footage with a cinematic storyline in which a hero confronts supernatural forces. It includes appearances by martial‑arts expert Wes Scarpias, actress Ashley Edner‑Tancharoen, actor Troy James, and special‑effects legend Rick Baker, among others.
