Anthrax rollout for Cursum Perficio album

Overview

In early July 2026, Anthrax began promoting its twelfth studio album, *Cursum Perficio*, slated for an 18 September release. The band issued the second single, “The Edge of Perfection,” accompanied by an Oscar-winning music video directed by Joel Harlow.

On 6 August, the promotional campaign continued with the release of the third single, “Everybody’s Got A Plan,” via Revolver. The accompanying music video is a tour montage filmed on 7 July at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lisbon while the band opened for Iron Maiden. The clip features a mix of live performance footage, behind-the-scenes moments, and black-and-white artistic shots of boxing matches to reflect the song's lyrics. Drummer Charlie Benante noted the song title is inspired by a Mike Tyson quote regarding plans being changed by a punch to the face.

*Cursum Perficio*, which translates to “my journey has come to an end,” marks the band’s first full-length studio album in ten years. Produced by Jay Ruston, the album was recorded in part at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles. The release is distributed by Megaforce in the United States and Nuclear Blast in Europe. The rollout to date has featured three singles: “It’s For The Kids,” “The Edge Of Perfection,” and “Everybody’s Got A Plan.”
