Anti-Corruption Bureau takes action in Udhampur and Reasi bribery cases

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jammu and Kashmir has taken legal action against two individuals in separate bribery cases in the Udhampur and Reasi districts.

In Udhampur, the ACB filed a charge sheet against Darbinder Singh, a former Patwari of Halqa Rasli Gandheran, and Nashar Ahmad, a driver. The case originated from a complaint alleging that Singh demanded a bribe to issue a land document (fard) for a sale. The accused were reportedly caught red-handed during a trap operation.

In Reasi, the ACB arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector Talib Hussain at the Talwara Police Post. Hussain allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 from a complainant in exchange for presenting a charge sheet in an ongoing investigation. The arrest occurred during a trap operation, and the funds were recovered from his possession.
