Anti-migrant protests escalate across the United Kingdom

Anti-immigration activists in the United Kingdom are conducting a series of protests and demonstrations across various regions. In Chorley, activist Daniel Thomas, known as ‘Danny Tommo’, led a rally of approximately 50 to 60 people near the home of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle. During the event, Thomas claimed to be building a “mass resistance movement” and suggested that upcoming actions would “send shivers down the spines” of those responsible for migration levels.

In Sussex, Liam Tomsett emerged as a prominent figure after organizing the ‘Crowborough Says No’ group. His activism began in response to government plans to use a former military training camp to house up to 540 asylum seekers. Tomsett’s efforts to block contractors at the site led to confrontations and his subsequent arrest on charges of common assault and possession of an offensive weapon, though those charges were later dropped.

Related demonstrations have also been reported in Dover, where protesters blocked port entrances for several hours, and in Portsmouth, where masked demonstrators confronted police following the arrival of a migrant vessel.
