Antioquia Governor delivers infrastructure projects in Guarne

Antioquia Governor Andrés Julián Rendón has delivered several infrastructure projects in Guarne, focusing on educational, sporting, and rural road improvements. A primary highlight is the renovation of the school restaurant at the Inmaculada Concepción Educational Institution, which serves 1,548 students. This project involved a total investment of $205 million, with $148 million provided by the Antioquia Government and $56 million from the municipality.

This initiative is part of a broader departmental strategy to modernize 54 school restaurants across 23 municipalities in Antioquia, a program with a total departmental investment exceeding $3,000 million. Similar improvements to school dining facilities were also completed at the I. E. R. Ezequiel Sierra and C. E. R. Eladio Escobar institutions.

Additional works include the improvement of the multi-sport court at the I. E. R. Hojas Anchas, benefiting 642 students, and the construction of 120 meters of reinforced concrete road (placa huella) in the Bellavista district. The road project was completed through a collaborative agreement between the Departmental Government and the local Community Action Board.
