ProInversión reports 7,737 million soles in Works for Taxes investments

Peru's Works for Taxes (OxI) mechanism has seen a significant surge in investment during 2026. According to ProInversión, an agency under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, 594 interventions were awarded between January and August, totaling 7,737 million soles.

These projects are aimed at improving public infrastructure and services to address social gaps. In August alone, various regional and local governments, as well as public universities, awarded 165 interventions valued at 1,360 million soles. The growth is attributed to increased confidence in the mechanism, enhanced national promotion, and the implementation of new regulations in March 2026 that expanded the law's scope.
