Antiparos bids farewell to Mayor Anastasios Faroupos

Hundreds of people gathered in Antiparos to attend the funeral of Mayor Anastasios Faroupos. The ceremony took place at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos, led by Metropolitan Kallinikos of Paronaxia.

Attendees included various political and local government representatives from the Cyclades and the South Aegean region, such as Minister of Sports Giannis Vroutsis and several local MPs. Faroupos was noted for his unifying role in the community, highlighted by his 2023 re-election as mayor with 100% of the vote.
