Antofagasta's EXPONOR 2026 draws record 45,000 visitors and over $1 billion in deals

The EXPONOR 2026 mining and energy exhibition in Antofagasta, Chile, is set to become the largest edition in its history, with more than 1,300 exhibiting companies, delegations from 36 countries and 18 international pavilions. Organisers expect over 45,000 specialised visitors and business opportunities exceeding US$1 billion, surpassing the previous event’s US$940 million.

The fair, scheduled for 8‑11 June, is a major economic driver for the city, boosting hotels, restaurants, transport and tourism. It will host Chile’s President José Antonio Kast, ministers, regional officials and senior executives from leading mining firms such as Codelco, SQM, Antofagasta Minerals and Glencore. Key topics include critical minerals, supply‑chain resilience, water desalination, efficient water use and the energy transition, which are central to Chile’s long‑term economic strategy.
