Antonio Mohamed addresses Toluca future and coaching rumors
Argentine manager Antonio ‘Turco’ Mohamed has addressed ongoing speculation regarding his future with Toluca. During a press conference, Mohamed defended his professional reputation against rumors of an imminent departure, noting that he has been with the club since December 2024.
To counter claims that he frequently abandons contracts, Mohamed presented data showing his longevity in Liga MX. He pointed out that since his arrival, 60 different coaches have managed various opposing teams, including clubs such as Puebla, Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul, and Monterrey, while he has remained in his position at Toluca.
Mohamed stated that any decision regarding his continuation will be made in December after the current tournament concludes. He emphasized that while he is currently happy at the club, he will eventually discuss the best path forward with the institution. Additionally, he dismissed recent controversies involving referee Katia Itzel García, stating the matter is in the past.
