Real Madrid expected to part ways with Antonio Rudiger

Real Madrid is reportedly preparing for the departure of defender Antonio Rudiger. The 33-year-old German player, who signed a one-year extension in June, is expected to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Rudiger has seen a decline in playing time under manager Jose Mourinho, falling behind Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen in the defensive hierarchy. Additionally, the return of Eder Militao from injury further impacts his position in the starting lineup. The club is also expected to seek a new central defender in 2027.

In separate squad news, Real Madrid has decided to retain Brazilian winger Rodrygo Goes. Despite rumors of potential sales, the club is not open to offers for the player during the winter market. Rodrygo is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and is expected to play a significant role in the second half of the season.
