Antonio Tajani leads Italian business delegation to Brazil and Argentina

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani is leading a systemic economic mission to South America, heading a delegation of over 100 Italian companies to strengthen industrial and commercial partnerships in Brazil and Argentina.

In Brazil, Tajani met with the Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Márcio Rosa, and the President of FIESP, Paulo Skaf, to discuss production systems. Brazil serves as Italy’s primary commercial partner in South America and its main destination for exports within the Mercosur region, accounting for 76.6% of the share. Bilateral trade reached 11.07 billion euros in 2025, with a 22.3% increase in Italian exports following the implementation of the EU-Mercosur Agreement.

In Argentina, the mission included high-level meetings with Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno to explore investment opportunities. ITA Airways participated in the mission, represented by President Sandro Pappalardo, highlighting the role of air connectivity in supporting international trade, tourism, and economic relations between Italy and the two nations.
