Antonis Remos celebrates 30-year career with concerts in Cyprus and Greece
Greek singer Antonis Remos is celebrating 30 years of his musical career with a large-scale anniversary concert in Nicosia, Cyprus. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at Taphros Davila, the event will feature guest appearances by artists including Despina Vandi, Elena Paparizou, and Giorgos Theofanous. The production will be accompanied by a multi-member orchestra conducted by Nikos Zervas and Giannis Diskos. Entry to the concert includes a €3 donation to the Cyprus Red Cross.
In Greece, Remos's recent anniversary concert in Thessaloniki has faced scrutiny. Following a performance on September 12 at the Thessaloniki waterfront, the Municipality of Thessaloniki issued a €10,000 fine to the organizers for potential damage to the grass area surrounding the Alexander the Great monument. The event also drew controversy regarding the placement of the stage, which critics argued obstructed the monument, leading to legal action from the sculptor's family.
