Anyang City to host 8th Anyang Public Art Project

Anyang City will host the 8th Anyang Public Art Project (APAP8) from September 30 to November 29. Themed ‘ArteX: Art Transformation’ with the subtitle ‘Anyang Peach Blossom Spring,’ the event aims to integrate advanced technology with daily life through media art, sculpture, and architecture.

Key exhibition sites include the Anyang Art Park and Pyeongchon Hakun Park. The Anyang Pavilion will feature ‘i-Pavilion,’ an immersive exhibition showcasing new works by prominent domestic and international media artists. Outdoor areas will host ‘Open Ground’ for sculptures and ‘Night’s Peach Blossom Spring’ for immersive nighttime media art.

The project also extends into local commercial spaces and community areas, featuring special exhibitions by Korean and Chinese masters and various community programs such as workshops, performances, and flea markets. To prepare for the event, the city has completed the removal of 17 existing public art pieces and plans to finish repairs and relocations by October.
