AOC to increase monitor prices due to rising component costs

AOC has notified distribution partners of an upcoming price adjustment across its monitor portfolio due to rising upstream component costs. According to a notice dated August 1, 2026, the manufacturer is facing increased expenses for chips, internal controller boards, PCBs, and power-management components.

Several factors are driving these costs. Panel manufacturers are shifting production capacity away from consumer monitors toward automotive, industrial, and commercial displays, reducing the availability of consumer-grade panels. Additionally, components such as scaler chips and timing controllers are competing for semiconductor capacity with the PC, television, and data-center sectors.

The price adjustment is expected to affect a wide range of products, from entry-level office displays to high-end Mini LED and OLED monitors. While the specific percentage of the increase has not been disclosed, the move follows a period of intense price competition in the monitor market that has significantly compressed manufacturer margins. The adjustment is currently identified as a development within the Chinese distribution channel, though the underlying component cost pressures are international in nature.
