Aomori hosts 80th National Sports Festival

The 80th National Sports Festival, known as ‘Ao no Kirameki Aomori Kokusu-po’, has commenced its pre-period competitions in Aomori Prefecture. Early events include gymnastics, rifle shooting, and clay pigeon shooting in Hirosaki City, as well as canoeing in Nishimeya Village.

In the sailing competitions held at Ohira Marina in Mutsu City, Megumi Komine secured the first victory for the host prefecture in the adult women’s windsurfing category. This marks her ninth title and her first in three years.
