Apex Legends launches Season 30 ‘Marked’ update

Apex Legends has launched its Season 30 update, titled ‘Marked’, which introduces significant balance changes to the Legend roster and gameplay mechanics. The update features a major rework for Bloodhound, including a new ultimate ability called ‘Allfather’s Cloak’ and a redesigned tactical scan. Additionally, Loba and Rampart have received buffs to their abilities, while previously dominant characters such as Valkyrie, Axle, and Seer have seen reductions in power.

Gameplay mechanics have also shifted with the removal of energy ammo from ground loot; instead, energy now regenerates within magazines. New ‘Corrupted Attachments’ have been introduced as a top-tier rarity.

Alongside these updates, the game has implemented an extended five-day ranked ladder system to provide more competitive windows for players across different regions. The second of these five-day competitions runs from August 18 through August 23, with subsequent ladder windows scheduled throughout late August and early September.
