Apex Legends Season 30 Launch Triggers Server Outages and Aim‑Assist Concerns

Respawn Entertainment released Apex Legends Season 30, titled “Marked,” on 4 August 2026. Within hours the launch overwhelmed the game’s servers, causing widespread login failures, connection drops and error code 429 messages. Over 10,000 player reports were logged worldwide as the infrastructure struggled with the new loot mechanics and a revised ammunition system.

At the same time, controller players began reporting that aim‑assist, tracking and sensitivity felt different, sparking speculation that Respawn may have secretly nerfed aim‑assist. The community noted both faster‑sensing and sluggish‑tracking symptoms, but Respawn’s patch notes contain no mention of aim‑assist changes. Similar controller‑input complaints followed the Season 28 update in February 2026, though no official adjustment was confirmed. Respawn has acknowledged server‑stability improvements but has not addressed the aim‑assist concerns, leaving the issue open for further monitoring.
