United States economy shows job growth amid record US$ 40 trillion debt

The United States economy is presenting a complex landscape of growth and fiscal challenges. ADP reported that the private sector added approximately 90,000 jobs in September, exceeding economist expectations. However, the US national debt reached a record US$ 40 trillion in August, representing 120% of the country's GDP.

In energy policy, President Donald Trump is considering a ban on diesel exports to combat rising energy prices, though he acknowledged this could inadvertently increase gasoline prices. Simultaneously, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer is pushing for coordinated international action, specifically through the Milwaukee framework, to address industrial overcapacity and market-distorting practices, with a focus on China.

In financial markets, US inflation data showed the core PCE rose by 0.2% in August, below the 0.3% forecast. This has influenced global markets, including Brazil, where the US dollar fell against the real to approximately R$ 5.17, and the Ibovespa stock index saw significant gains.
