Čapljina to host ‘40 Days for Life’ autumn campaign

The ‘40 Days for Life’ initiative is launching its autumn campaign in Čapljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the first time. From September 23 to November 1, 2026, daily prayer vigils will be held in front of the Čapljina Health Center starting at 8:00 AM.

Čapljina becomes the second city in the country to host this specific vigil, following Mostar. The campaign aims to reduce abortion rates through prayer, fasting, and community awareness, while providing support to women in difficult circumstances. In collaboration with the Mostar initiative and the ‘Mother Krispina’ Safe House, the program offers psychological, medical, and practical assistance to pregnant women and families.

Originating in Texas in 2004, the global movement has expanded to nearly 2,000 cities. The organization reports that its efforts have contributed to thousands of saved lives and the closure of numerous abortion clinics worldwide.
