Apple's CarPlay Ultra, introduced in May 2025, lets an iPhone control a vehicle's instrument panel, climate system, cameras and driver‑assist settings, turning the phone into the primary interface for the car. The system requires dedicated hardware and is currently limited to the Aston Martin DBX in the United States and Canada, with Hyundai, Kia and Genesis expected to debut compatible models in the second half of 2026.
