Apple emerges as top fall flavor in New York and 17 other states

Data from DoorDash and Instacart indicates that apple remains a dominant fall flavor in the United States, particularly in New York. According to DoorDash's analysis, apple was the top fall flavor in 18 states, including much of the South and Mid-Atlantic regions.

While pumpkin spice remains popular, with pumpkin spice latte orders reaching approximately 59,000 per week during the 2024 fall season, it was not the fastest-growing flavor. Pecan saw the highest year-over-year increase at 28%, followed by apple and gingerbread. Regional preferences vary, with pumpkin dominating in states like California, Oregon, and Washington, while caramel and cinnamon lead in other specific areas.
