Apple launches Apple Watch Series 12 with S11 chip

Apple has introduced the Apple Watch Series 12, which maintains the design language of the Series 10 but features significant internal upgrades. The new device is powered by the S11 chip and includes a redesigned sensor module on the back. Key hardware improvements include Ceramic Shield 2 on aluminum models and more prominent digital crowns.

In terms of health and fitness, the Series 12 offers more frequent heart rate monitoring, recording data every five seconds during the day and measuring heart rate variability up to 24 times more often. Alongside the new watchOS 27, Apple has introduced ‘Disposición’, a feature that provides a daily score from 0 to 10 based on activity, sleep, recovery, and vital signs to help users manage their daily effort.

Battery life is rated for up to 24 hours of normal use or 38 hours in low-power mode, with fast charging capabilities. While the watch offers enhanced tracking and a more conversational AI assistant via watchOS 27, certain Siri AI functions remain subject to regional availability and regulatory requirements.
