Apple launches Indie Games Week with seven new mobile titles

Apple has launched Indie Games Week on the App Store, a week-long initiative to showcase seven acclaimed independent titles on iPhone and iPad. The event features daily editorial highlights and curated collections to increase the visibility of independent developers.

Key releases include the mobile debut of Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, scheduled for October 28. The mobile version includes all major expansions from the last decade, such as the Cosmos update. To facilitate mobile play, developers spent approximately three years reworking the user interface. The game will offer a free trial before requiring a one-time purchase of approximately $19.99. While it includes full content, some features like multiplayer and planetary settlements may be absent at launch.

Other featured titles include the martial arts combat game Sifu, which has been adapted with custom touch controls and controller support, and the card-based Vampire Crawlers. The lineup is completed by Little Kitty, Big City, 9 Kings, Dome Keeper, and Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall. Most of these titles are available for immediate download, while No Man’s Sky is currently available for pre-order.
