Apple App Store Indie Games Week
Overview
Apple has launched Indie Games Week on the App Store, a week-long initiative designed to increase the visibility of independent developers through daily editorial highlights and curated collections.
A central feature of the event is the mobile debut of Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky. Developers reportedly spent approximately three years reworking the user interface to facilitate mobile play. The game, which is currently available for pre-order, includes major expansions from the last decade such as the Cosmos update. While the mobile version includes full content, features like multiplayer and planetary settlements may be absent at launch. The game will offer a free trial before requiring a one-time purchase of approximately $19.99.
The lineup also features the martial arts combat game Sifu, which has been adapted with custom touch controls and controller support, as well as the card-based Vampire Crawlers. Other highlighted titles include Little Kitty, Big City, 9 Kings, Dome Keeper, and Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall.
