Apple Music undergoes design redesign and radio updates
Apple is implementing significant changes to its Apple Music service, including a major design overhaul and updates to its radio offerings.
In a new iOS beta, the streaming service is moving toward an extreme minimalist aesthetic. The iconic pink-red branding is being replaced by a monochrome color scheme. The app icon will transition to a simple black-and-white design depending on light or dark mode settings. Additionally, the interface features new blue accent colors in the menu bar, monochrome library icons for playlists and artists, and simplified black widgets for the home screen.
Regarding its radio programming, Apple Music continues to offer six global live stations—Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, Apple Music Country, Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill—which are accessible for free with an Apple ID. The service also provides artist-specific stations and access to local stations via partners like iHeartRadio and TuneIn. Looking ahead, the Apple Music Radio studios in London are scheduled to move to the new Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station in 2026.
