Apple Original Films releases trailer for “Tenzing”

Apple Original Films has released the trailer for “Tenzing,” a new feature film directed by Jennifer Peedom. Based on true events, the movie depicts the story of Tenzing Norgay, a skilled Himalayan climber who, alongside New Zealander Edmund Hillary, became one of the first individuals to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

The narrative explores the cultural and social tensions surrounding the expedition, contrasting the Western view of Everest as a conquest with Tenzing’s spiritual reverence for the mountain as the sacred goddess Chomolungma. The film features an ensemble cast including Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, Willem Dafoe, Caitríona Balfe, Thinley Lhamo, and Tenzin Dalha.

“Tenzing” is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on October 9, 2026, followed by a worldwide release on Apple TV on October 16, 2026.
