Apple to host Pro and Tell event on October 28

Apple has announced its upcoming “Pro and Tell” product event, scheduled for October 28 in Los Angeles. The event is expected to focus on professional-grade hardware, potentially marking a historic shift for the MacBook Pro line with the introduction of OLED touchscreen displays.

Reports suggest the new MacBook Pro models, available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, may feature Tandem OLED technology and a smaller Dynamic Island, though they might not support Face ID. These high-end models are expected to utilize existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, as Apple reportedly plans to skip high-end M6 Pro and Max iterations to focus on the upcoming M7 series.

Other anticipated announcements include an updated iPad mini featuring an OLED display and a landscape-oriented front camera, as well as an iMac refreshed with the M6 processor. While the event will not follow a traditional global livestream format, selected media will be invited for hands-on demonstrations. Retail availability for these new products is rumored to begin as early as November 6, 2026.
