Xiaomi unveils 18 Pro series with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6
Xiaomi has officially unveiled its flagship Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max series. The new devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, built on a 2nm process.
Key hardware features include dual 200-megapixel Leica camera sensors and a secondary rear display panel for notifications and camera utility. The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 4,000 nits peak brightness and a 7,000 mAh battery. The Pro Max model includes a larger 6.9-inch display and an 8,500 mAh battery.
While the initial launch is focused on the Chinese market, global versions are expected soon. However, leaks suggest international models may feature reduced battery capacities, with the global Xiaomi 18 Pro potentially having a 6,000 mAh cell and the Pro Max a 7,050 mAh cell. The series also introduces a hardware-level privacy display feature designed to limit side-angle viewing.
