Recent reports suggest that Xiaomi may have canceled the development of a flagship Xiaomi 18 Ultra due to high production costs and retail pricing concerns. The device was reportedly designed as a photography powerhouse with an unprecedented triple 200-megapixel camera system, including a LOFIC main sensor and a periscopic telephoto lens with continuous optical zoom. Internal projections estimated a starting price of approximately 9,999 yuan, a significant increase over the previous Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
