Apple opens first education center for suppliers in Vietnam
Apple has announced the opening of its first Apple Education Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, to provide specialized training for employees within its local supply chain. Operated in partnership with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the center is scheduled to begin offering courses this autumn.
The curriculum features a hybrid model of online and in-person learning, focusing on technical skills such as smart manufacturing, robotics, automation, and Swift programming. Additionally, the program includes professional development courses covering leadership, soft skills, and production-line supervisor training to support career advancement.
The initiative is funded by Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, established in 2022. Beyond technical instruction, the fund supports education regarding worker rights and health programs, including mental health and disease prevention. The training framework is expected to be rolled out across more than 30 supplier facilities throughout Vietnam.
