Apple TV+ announces new original series and film releases

Apple TV+ is expanding its library of original content, focusing on a strategy of producing critically acclaimed series and films to attract and retain subscribers. Unlike many competitors, the platform primarily hosts its own original productions, while offering other titles for purchase or rent.

Upcoming major releases include the six-part comedy series ‘Small Prophets’, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, scheduled for release on October 7, 2026. The crime drama ‘Nocturne’, based on the novel by Lars Kepler, is set to premiere on October 30, 2026, starring Liev Schreiber and Stephen Graham as a detective facing a serial killer in Pennsylvania.

Additionally, the culinary documentary series ‘Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook’ is slated for a global release on November 6, 2026. The series follows Nora Lum (Awkwafina) as she explores Asian-American gastronomy across the United States and attempts to revive her family’s culinary legacy.
