Apple confirms September 2026 keynote to debut iPhone 18 Pro and foldable iPhone

Apple has confirmed its upcoming keynote event for September 9, 2026, under the theme ‘Surprise and Shine’. This event will mark the first major product launch under new CEO John Ternus, following Tim Cook’s departure on September 1.

The keynote is expected to feature the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, both likely powered by the A20 Pro chip built on a 2-nanometer process. Notably, the standard iPhone 18 model is rumored to be delayed until spring 2027 as part of a new staggered release strategy. A major highlight is expected to be Apple’s first foldable smartphone, potentially called the iPhone Ultra, which may feature a 7.7 to 7.8-inch internal display.

Other anticipated products include the Apple Watch Series 12, which may feature a ceramic case in white or dark grey and always-on heart-rate tracking, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. Additionally, Apple may introduce AirPods 5 and updates to the Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini. To avoid the September 11 remembrance in the United States, Apple may shift the iPhone pre-order window to Saturday, September 12.
