Apple watchOS 27 may expand Modular watch face options

Leaks from the iOS 27 beta 5 suggest that Apple is planning significant updates for the Modular watch face in the upcoming watchOS 27, expected in Fall 2026. The update is set to introduce nine new color customization options, including shades such as Dusty Rose, Warm Cream, Flat Sage Green, and Warm Taupe.

Beyond color options, reports indicate that Apple may be developing a redesigned version of the Modular face. This new design could potentially bring functional elements currently exclusive to the Modular Ultra face to other Apple Watch models. The new color names found in the system code may also hint at upcoming watch band collections for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
