Apucarana launches tax incentive program for citizens

The city of Apucarana has conducted the first draw for its ‘Cidadão Bom de Nota’ program, which rewards 50 taxpayers with R$ 50 each. The initiative encourages residents to include their CPF on Electronic Service Invoices (NFS-e) to promote fiscal citizenship and transparency.

Managed by the Municipal Finance Secretariat, the program aims to change consumer behavior by incentivizing the request of official receipts for various services, such as medical exams, gym memberships, or mechanic repairs. The draw was conducted electronically using data from the Federal Lottery to ensure randomness and auditability.

The program is scheduled to hold monthly draws until December 2027, with total prizes exceeding R$ 200,000, including cash, motorcycles, and a new car.
