Fiscal incentive and transparency programs in Paraná

Overview

Municipalities in the state of Paraná, Brazil, are implementing various fiscal incentive and transparency programs. Expanding these efforts, the city of Apucarana has launched the ‘Cidadão Bom de Nota’ program. Designed to increase tax compliance by encouraging consumers to include their CPF on service invoices, the initiative will distribute over R$ 200,000 in prizes between September 2026 and the end of 2027. The prize pool consists of R$ 73,500 in cash, one hatch car valued at approximately R$ 90,000, and two motorcycles. Winners will be selected through 16 draws based on the Brazilian Federal Lottery, including a special Christmas draw in December 2026.
