APWeb-WAIM 2026 international conference opens in Da Nang

The APWeb-WAIM 2026 international scientific conference opened on September 7 at the FPT University Da Nang campus. This marks the 10th edition of the conference and the first time the event has been hosted in Vietnam.

More than 100 researchers from 12 countries and territories, including France, Greece, China, Japan, and Singapore, are participating in the event. A total of 162 studies are being presented both in-person and online, focusing on web technology, databases, and the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI).

Key research themes include the role of data in AI development, efficient data organization, fraud detection, personal data protection, and the processing of text, images, and video. The conference also addresses real-world applications in sectors such as healthcare, finance, education, digital government, cybersecurity, transportation, and manufacturing. Discussions emphasize the need for AI systems to improve accuracy, verifiability, and reliability as they become more widely deployed.
