Japan hospitality and retail sectors announce various holiday events

Various venues across Japan have announced seasonal events and promotions for the upcoming holiday season.

In Osaka, Aloft by Marriott Osaka Umeda is offering a ‘Holiday Bonus Stay’ plan for stays starting December 24, 2026, which includes a 10% discount on breakfast-inclusive rates and 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points. Nearby, Hotel Liber Osaka will host Santa Claus greetings at its Dining BRICKSIDE restaurant on December 24 and 25, alongside a holiday dinner buffet.

In the Tokyo area, Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama is launching a ‘Christmas Afternoon Tea’ at Le Jardin, available on select weekends from November 13 to December 13, 2026. Additionally, Aqua City Odaiba will host a Rilakkuma-themed Christmas party from November 13 to December 25, featuring a large-scale Rilakkuma tree, a collaboration cafe, and various character-themed activities.

In Nakano, the ‘Sheep Festa 2026’ will take place on November 7–8, showcasing various mutton and lamb dishes, including lamb chops and lamb bulgogi, as part of a large-scale event celebrating sheep-related products and crafts.
